Our Story
Horn’s Toyota Repair was founded in 2025 by father-son team Tom and Austin Hornish, lifelong car enthusiasts dedicated to keeping Toyota and Lexus vehicles running their best. Located in South Salt Lake City, our mission is simple: provide high-quality, cost-effective repairs with honesty, transparency, and constant communication.
Tom’s Story
Tom Hornish, a U.S. Air Force veteran and former pilot of both the F-4 and F-16, discovered his love for engines at just 14 years old when he rebuilt a John Deere tractor on his uncle’s Ohio farm. To everyone’s surprise, the engine ran better than ever. After retiring from the Air Force and pursuing a career as a corporate lawyer, Tom continued nurturing his passion for hands-on mechanical projects—passing it directly on to his son, Austin.
Austin’s Story
From an early age, Austin shared his dad’s love for cars. At 17, he completed his first major project: an engine swap on a Jeep Cherokee. While studying at Montana State University, Austin began working at a Toyota repair shop in Bozeman, MT, where his passion for Toyota vehicles truly took off. Now an ASE-certified mechanic and former Audi and Toyota technician, Austin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every repair.
